Convent Under the Milky Way
During a night away in the Hunter Valley, I decided to start experimenting with photography of star fields.
Peppers Convent, a hotel in a secluded and dark spot right in the middle of Pokolbin, offered some pretty decent opportunities for shooting the stars in the night sky in a relatively light pollution-free environment.
The clear night was also instrumental in making this type of image possible, but not long after this image was captured (plus a few others at various spots on the grounds), clouds blew in and put an end to more experimentation.
I definitely have some ideas for future nightscape images featuring the dramatic Milky Way in the sky.
